Women are Fundamentally Different From Men

Women are giving male marketers a headache, one that will turn into a full-blown migraine unless brands learn how to communicate effectively with female shoppers during tough economic times. Male marketers need to find a way of getting off Mars and heading over to Venus. Women don’t respond the same as men.

  • Men use the Internet to transact; women use it to connect.
  • Men buy. Women shop.
  • During tough economic times, men postpone purchases, women continue to explore.
  • Women control 4 of the 5 steps in the buying process, according to Marti Barletta. They just make men think they made the decision.
  • Almost double the amount of women (28%), compared with men (15%), say they feel squeezed by the economic climate.
  • Women are fundamentally more optimistic than men.
  • Men have 6 items in their bathroom – women have 450!
  • Women use more punctuation! In text!! To express!!! Their feelings? -emotions- etc 😉
  • Images of businesswomen in advertising are not reflective of real businesswomen.
  • 70 percent of new businesses are founded by women.
